Conference on Nature and Culture in Taiwan

Showcasing Taiwan as the laboratory of renovating Chinese culture facing the challenge of modernity and post-modernity, this conference focuses on the issues of nature and culture in Taiwan Studies in the areas of research resources, literature, documentary archives, and philosophy in Taiwan. The first day program, focusing on “Taiwan Studies in Global Context and E-Resources,” takes place at Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library on the 8th floor of the Robarts Library, from 1:00pm to 5:30 pm, November 15, 2013; and that of the second day, on “Literature, Archives and Philosophy in Taiwan,” takes place at the Purple Lounge of East Asian Studies, 14th floor of the Robarts Library, from 12:30pm to 4:30pm, November 16, 2013.

 

A special exhibition Taiwan Text, Literature and Taiwan studies e-Resources will also take place on Nov.11 - Dec. 15, 2013, at the Cheng Yu Tung East Asian Library.
