Following the provincial COVID-19 Response Framework, our in-person Limited Consultation Service is paused from November 23 until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We continue to offer curbside pick-up and virtual reference and research services during this time.

If your questions are not answered here, send us an email at ref.eal@utoronto.ca, and we will do our best to get back to you within 24-48 hours! Questions can be sent in English, Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.

Visit our virtual Zoom reference desk to connect instantly with our librarians and other reference staff for quick questions about reference materials and other resources related to East Asian Studies. They will be available from Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 3 pm. All hours are drop in!

Your research journey has begun, but a journal article you are looking for is only available in print! With our Scan & Deliver Service, you can now request a scanned copy from us, and a link to the scans can be delivered right to your email inbox.

If the books and audiovisual materials you are looking for are not available in our online collections or through HathiTrust ETAS, the Curbside Pick-Up Service might be for you! All materials from the East Asian Library included in this service can be picked up from Robarts Library.

Through the Limited Consultation Service, you are able to visit the library and work with materials in-person! This service is available by appointment only and only for materials that cannot be accessed online or through HathiTrust ETAS. In order to maintain a safe and healthy environment, we ask all prospective researchers to read the following information and instructions.
