Asian Art

The online journal for the study and exhibition of the
religion and arts of Asia. Asianart.com is dedicated to all
aspects of Asian art. It offers a forum for scholars,
museums and commercial galleries. It displays highlights of
exhibitions in public and private institutions and
galleries; present new discoveries by scholars and
connoisseurs; and, by providing space for private galleries
to present their works, offer the visitor a selection of
fine Asian art worldwide.

Elder John Lai's Archives

Elder John Lai's Archives are dedicated to the study of
the history of Christianity in Taiwan with special
emphasis attached to the Presbysterian Church. This
resource is of significant research value for the study of
early history of Christianity in Taiwan. Currently, the
Archives contain three parts: 1. the full text of Prof.
John Lai’s “Kau-hoe-su-oe” 《教會史話》, a collection of
articles on the history of Christianity in Taiwan; 2.
scrapbook files compiled by Prof. Lai, which are valuable
primary sources used for his writings; and 3. Prof. Lai’s

London Missionary Society Collection of Chinese Books

The London Missionary Society's collection of
Chinese books has been digitized and made
available online by the National Library of
Australia. This special collection comprises over
500 printed books gathered by LMS missionaries
during the late Qing period. These include
missionary publications such as Christian tracts,
as well as non-missionary books, manuscript items,
books related to the Taiping Rebellion and so on.
These materials are interesting primary sources
for Chinese history and religion studies.

Buddhanet Ebooks

BuddhaNet is a nonsectarian organization aiming
to link up with the growing worldwide culture of
people committed to the Buddha's teachings and
lifestyle. Without focusing on any sect's beliefs
or practices, its website provides a diverse
variety of quality resources about Buddhism in
general, including a World Buddhist Directory,
BuddhaZine-Online Magazine, Insight Meditation
Online, and the Buddhist eLibrary. In particular,
the Buddhist eLibrary is set up to support the
free dissemination of digital Buddhist educational
materials around the world.

Christian Sources in New Local Gazetteers of China

The online database, Christian Sources in New Local
Gazetteers of China, is the result of a seminal project
undertaken by the Hong Kong Christian Council and Hong Kong
Spirit Seminary College (of the Roman Catholic Church). The
database specializes in delivering digitalized Christian
sources excerpted from the New Local Gazetteers of China,
published between the 1980s and the 2000s. It covers
Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, Nestorian and Judaic sources
as are recorded in the New Local Gazetteers of various
administrative levels.

Ricci Roundtable on the History of Christianity in China

The Ricci Roundtable is a database developed and maintained
by the Ricci Institute for Chinese-Western Cultural History
at the University of San Francisco for the use of academic
research on the topic of Christianity in China. The database
has a strong collection of archival, bibliographic and
biographic resources on the history of Christian missions in
China during the past few centuries.
