Booking requests
The University of Toronto Libraries is pleased to announce a new feature called Booking request, which is now available through LibrarySearch. This service helps instructors, staff, and graduate students plan and ensure the availability of audio-visual material for a specified time period.
What is a Booking Request?
- Similar to a hold, a booking request allows you to request most DVDs and Blu-rays from Robarts Library, UTSC Library, East Asian Library, OISE Library, Kelly Library, and the Downsview offsite storage for up to a 14-day loan period.
- Unlike regular holds, bookings can be placed up to 1 year in advance.
- Currently available to U of T graduate students, faculty members, and staff.
What types of audio-visual formats are permitted for a booking request?
- Currently, bookings only apply to video formats of most DVDs and Blu-rays.
- Audio formats (i.e., CDs, CD-ROMs, etc.) are not available for booking requests.
