This Mississippi Delta Chinese Oral Histories is part of
Delta State University Archives' Oral History Collection.
The oral history project was funded by the Mississppi
Humanities Council and was completed in 2000. The
Mississippi Delta Chinese Oral Histories consists of
interviews focusing on the history and culture of the
Chinese people in the Mississippi Delta.
Internet resources for Contemporary
The digitized collections of Multicultural Canada provide
free access to historical collections of Canada's minority
groups to promote research into the country's multi-ethnic
communities. Included in the project are an extensive
range
of collections, with the majority of them in a language
other than English, that include historic newspapers,
books,
manuscript documents, photographs, and audio files. A
significant number of the collections is related to Asian
Canadians, especially Chinese Canadians.
NSSD is a government-sponsored open-access database of
academic journals and dissertations published and/or funded
by the PRC government. It makes available hundreds of
Chinese journals, most of which are in full-text.
This e-journal database provides access to fulltext articles
of 34 journals published by various departments of the
National Taiwan University since 2003. Disciplines covered
include arts, literature, political science, architecture,
engineering and business. Please check

The Philosopy Online, supported by Renmin University,
provides online information concerning Chinese philosophy
education,
reaserch, academic exchanging, news, and etc.
The Qiaopi Database is a digital project conducted by the
Shantou University Library to display and promote its
special colleciton of Qiaopi (侨批), remittance receipts
in the form of family letters from overseas Chinese to
their families in China. Most of the surviving qiaopi have
been preserved by archives in Guangdong and Fujian
Province. Qiaopi, as a unique type of historical
documents, has been recognized since 2003 as the world's
documentary heritage on the list of the UNESCO Memory of
the World. This database of Shantou University has
information and digital images about 30,000 pieces of
qiaopi.
Taiwan Cinema Yearbook is an annual publication of Taiwan
Film Ditial Archives (TFDA). The latest edition can be
downloaded in full-text on the TFDA webiste.

Taiwan Fojiao 臺灣佛教 was published between 1947 and 1970
and contains valuable information on events, practices and
policies that is difficult to find elsewhere. Indeed,
hardcopies of the journal itself are difficult to find and
no complete set seems to have survived. We are obliged to
Dr. Kan Zhengzong 闞正宗 for making copies of his collection
available.
Taiwan Memory uses digital technology, as well as audio
records to properly preserve the historic memories of
Taiwan recorded in over 4 million volumes in National
Central Library, including a rich range of historic
documents on Taiwan, such as Taiwanese post cards from the
Japanese colonial period, old photos from various places
and old homes, local biographies, ancient book logs,
family genealogies, rubbings, video and audio materials,
and digital video files from the daily evening news since
Taiwan TV News began broadcasting in 1962, all collected
through a variety of channels.
Taiwan Review was founded in April 1, 1951. The goal of
Taiwan Review is to provide in-depth discussion of various
aspects of Taiwan including politics, economics, society,
the environment and the arts.
Previously known as the Political Sicence Review, the
Taiwanese Journal of Political Science is published by the
Dept. of Political Sicence of the National Taiwan
University, and is a key academic journal on political
science. The journal was originally issued biannually, but
since June, 2004, it has been published on a quarterly
basis.
Teochew Letters is a website set up and maintained by the
Cheung Kong School of Journalism and Communication, Shantou
University, to promote knowledge about qiaopi, a combination
of remittance and correspondence that is also known as the
Teochew Letters (\Qiaopi\ in Mandarin).
The China Story Project is a web-based account of
contemporary China created by the Australian Centre on
China
in the World (CIW) in the College of Asia & the Pacific
(CAP) at The Australian National University (ANU) in
Canberra. The China Story engages with the shifting
narratives and realities of contemporary China, offering a
range of views on different aspects of the People’s
Republic, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan and the Chinese-
speaking world essayed by scholars, writers, journalists
and
commentators.
The Chinese Foreign Policy Database enhances the ability of
contemporary observers and historians to gain broader
perspectives on Chinese policies. Curating 1000s of
documents from Chinese and international archives, it offers
insights into China’s foreign policy since 1949 and its
relationship to ideology, revolution, the economy, and
traditional Chinese culture.
The HKUL Digital Initiatives have implemented digitization
projects that are now providing open online access to local
collections originally in print format. These include Basic
Law Drafting History Online, Beijing Historical Geography
Database, China through Western Eyes, Historical Laws of
Hong Kong Online, Hong Kong and the West until 1860, Hong
Kong Government Reports Online (1853-1941) and Hong Kong
Journals Online.
This collection provides complete FCO 7 and FCO 82 files
for the entire period of Richard Nixon’s presidency. Top-
level Anglo-American discussions and briefing papers
dominate these papers. There is also a wealth of material
on social conditions, domestic reforms, trade, culture and
the environment. In addition, there is strong coverage of
US policy decisions by the FCO and the British embassy in
Washington; White House staff appointments and UN
discussions; views on Europe; the deployment of F-111
aircraft on US airbases in the UK and Nixon’s battles over
funding from Congress; visits to the US by Harold Wilson
and Edward Heath; and the internal situation in the US and
domestic reform. There are also detailed assessments of
all the changes brought about by the presidential election
of 1972, in which Nixon beat George McGovern by a record-
breaking margin and in every state but one, only to resign
two years later in the face of almost certain impeachment.
The PRC History Group is a network of scholars with
interests in the history of the People Republic of China. It
manages H-PRC, an H-Net channel that hosts scholarly
discussions in addition to distributing news and
announcements of interest to PRC historians. The Group also
distributes and archives Chinese-language journals as well
as the Group’s own English-language PRC History Review,
which contains research articles and roundtable discussions
on recent scholarship in PRC history.
The Trans-Asia Photography Review is an international
refereed journal devoted to the discussion and research of
historic and contemporary photography from Asia. The journal
aims to bring together the diverse perspectives of curators,
historians, photographers, anthropologists, art historians
and various others in order to investigate as fully as
possible the still nascent field of Asian photography.
It is the virtual home of the University of California, San
Diego Modern Chinese History program. It is a useful
resource of a wide variety of materials, ranging from book
reviews to information about visiting Chinese archives. The
site stopped updating itself in 2010.
